George Clooney was honored for his charity work at a star-studded event in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday October 20, 2012.

Celebrities including Thora Birch, Joan Collins, Quincy Jones, Julianne Hough, Jennie Garth, Carmen Electra and Nicollette Sheridan all turned out to see the Ocean's Eleven star as he was recognized for his efforts in advocating various humanitarian causes by being awarded the Brass Ring Award at the 26th Carousel of Hope ball held at the Hilton Hotel. The black-tie fundraiser, which was hosted by comedian Jay Leno, draws in money for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Colorado.

Singer Neil Diamond later took to the stage to perform, while guests also bid on luxury items including a Bora Bora wedding and tickets to designer fashion shows.

About the Charity:

The Mercedes-Benz 26th Carousel of Hope Gala founded by Barbara and the late Marvin Davis brings together Hollywood’s elite to raise funds benefitting clinical care and research at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes (BDC), the country’s leading care and research center for type 1 diabetes where more than 6,000 children and young adults from around the world receive specialized care.
