John Goodman placed his hands and feet in cement in front of the famous TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard Thursday (November 14, 2013) cheered on by the stars and directors of his new movie "Inside Llewyn Davis."

During his speech the 61 year old actor said: "I came out here in 1980 and one of the first things I did was go up this sidewalk and look at these people, and never in a million years dreamed that I would ever have this honor. It means I'm a Hollywood actor now."

He also thanked former co-star Roseanne, "But I really wouldn't be up here if it wasn't for them. I'd like to thank Roseanne too for bumping into me along the way. It's just an honour to be here today. It's incredible, I never thought I'd be here."

The Missouri-born star, although best known for the TV show Roseanne, for which he won a Best Actor Golden Globe Award in 1993, has had a long and varied career including providing the voice of Sulley in Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University. Other prominent roles Goodman has portrayed include supporting roles in The Artist, Argo, Flight, and The Hangover Part III and a regular role on the first season of HBO's Treme. As a film actor, Goodman has frequently collaborated with the Coen brothers on such films as Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?
