Veteran actor Peter O'Toole made a real impression in Hollywood on Saturday, April 30, 2011 by joining a select few who have left their mark on a Los Angeles sidewalk.

The 'Lawrence Of Arabia' star attracted a big crowd as he placed his hands and feet in wet cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in celebration of his illustrious film career.

The ceremony was part of the 2011 TCM Classic Film Festival honoring classic film and movie stars. The 78 year old was cheered by fans and proved that he still has an eye for the ladies by planting a big kiss on actress Rose MCGowan's lips.

On hand, along with O'Toole's family, were Barbara Hershey, Anjelica Huston, Rose McGowan, Illeana Douglas, Richard Benjamin, Paula Prentiss and Turner Classic Movie's own Robert Osborne.

Although a bit frail-looking, the dapper star was in high spirits and joked with the onlookers. He demonstrated how he used to carry cement before becoming an actor and quipped: "It's been many years since I had an intimate relationship with cement." (© 2011 Joe Martinez / PictureLux)

The 78 year old actor was born in Ireland in 1932, but moved to Leeds while still a child. He made his stage debut at only 17, but his big break on the big screen came in 1962, when he took the title role in David Lean’s epic classic, ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, a role which made him a huge international star.

He is currently still a hotly in demand actor, and has just finished working on three productions, ‘Cristiada’, ‘Eldorado’, and ‘Katherine of Alexandria’, which will be out later this year.

O’Toole has been nominated for eight Academy Awards, without winning any – the record for the most unrewarded nominations. In 2003, the Academy gave O’Toole an Honorary Award, for his outstanding contribution to the craft.
