For "diehard" Twilight fans, it's been a long six months since "New
Moon.", but they were finally rewarded Thursday night as their favorite
stars hit the red carpet for the world premiere of "The Twilight Saga:
Eclipse." on Thursday June 24, 2010 at the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los
Angeles.
Those shrill screams from the thousands of girls (and
others) lined up for the premiere heralded the coming of the new film
starring the ever popular Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Tayor
Lautner. The third installment of the "Twilight" series had the young
stars walking a pitch black carpet past fans who camped out for days to
see them. In addition to many of the cast members, other celebrities
hitting the carpet included Ron Artest, Alex Rodriguez, Jennie Garth,
Kim Kardashian, Shawn Johnson, Jaden and Willow Smith, Kristi Yamaguchi,
Lance Bass and Mario Lopez among others.
"I hope they really
like it," said "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson to ABC News. "It's
different from the first two, but it kind of takes little elements from
the stories, good consistency. I hope people will like it."
"It's THE movie," said star Taylor Lautner to ABC News. "This movie is
my favorite of the three so far, definitely. It's so much more exciting.
The love triangle is at its height. It's a very exciting film and I

Actor Bruce Willis and Producer Jerry Bruckheimer were among those on hand to see the 66-year-old Oscar-winner receive his accolade.
"Dear friends,
standing here today amongst you is one of the many things I thought
growing up in England that would never happen to me and it has and I'm
thrilled," Kingsley said in the late-morning ceremony in front of Madame
Tussauds Hollywood wax museum.
It was "a privilege", he

city".
Earning an Academy Award, two Golden Globes and two
BAFTA Awards for his riveting portrayal of Indian social leader Mahatma
Gandhi, Sir Ben Kingsley brings unequaled detail and nuance to each
role. In 1984, Kingsley was awarded the Padma Sri by Indira Gandhi and
the government of India. Kingsley went on to earn three additional Oscar
nominations for Bugsy (1991), Sexy Beast (2000) and House of Sand and
Fog (2003). His roles have been as diverse as his talents, from a sturdy
vice president in Dave to the scheming Fagin in Oliver Twist. Since
being knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in the New Year’s Eve Honors List
2001, Kingsley has continued to earn honors as a truly international
star.. Also upcoming is Teen Patti, an emotionally riveting and
razor-sharp thriller set in India and England, revolving around greed,
deception and giant feats of imagination in which he stars with Amitabh
Bachchan.
