Multiple Emmy Award–winning “Seinfeld” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, May 4,2010.
This marks the
4,407th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the television category
that the Chamber of Commerce has handed out and is located at 6250
Hollywood Boulevard in front of the W Hotel.
The ceremony was
not without it's drama as a slight mishap occurred when it was
discovered that Julia's name was misspelled on the newly placed star
itself. This was noticed just a few hours before the actual ceremony.
Like a true professional, Julia was unfazed and joked about the error to
US Weekly - the Seinfeld actress found the gaffe "hysterical" and
wanted the star kept as it was -- but workmen had chiseled out the
"Luis" and replaced it with a temporary "Louis" for the unveiling. The
star will be replaced with a permanent an corrected version shortly.
Freddy Krueger is the fictional screen villain from the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' series of horror films. He first appears in Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) as a disfigured dream stalker who uses a glove armed with razors to kill his victims in their dreams, which ultimately results in their death in the real world. However, whenever he is put into the real world, he has normal human strength and vulnerability. He was created by Wes Craven, and has been consistently portrayed by Robert Englund since his first appearance.
Flash
forward to 2010, Freddy Krueger is born-again in 'A Nightmare on Elm
Street', the re-imagined version of the classic eighties horror film...
this time around starring Jackie Earle Haley. Just three days shy of
the U.S. release of "A Nightmare on Elm Street", Warner Brothers
Pictures held the Los Angeles premiere of the film on Tuesday, April 27,
2010 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA
The fans came out to Westwood, CA for Jennifer Lopez Wednesday April
12, 2010 and to mark the occasion of the premiere of her latest film,
"The Back-up" Plan. J-Lo arrived at Westwood's Regency Village Theater
arm in arm with her husband Marc Anthony to the delight of cheering fans
hoping for an autograph of their favorite star. She obligingly made her
way down the row of fans and well-wishers - then it was off to the Red
Carpet where she looked stunning in a show-stopping silver Gianfranco
Ferré one-shoulder dress, paired with a Christian Louboutin clutch and
Ferragamo peep toes.
Annette Bening and husband Warren Beatty were out on the town last night at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, CA on April 19, 2010. to celebrate the premiere of Annette's latest film, "Mother and Child". Along with Warren and Annette, the film's co-stars also made their way down the carpet including Samuel L. Jackson with his wife La Tanya, Kerry Washington, Gloria Garayua, Tatyana Ali Brittany Robertson and Writer / Director Rodrigo Garcia. Invited guests included Amanda Seyfried, Marc Blucas and Samm Levine among others.
Fashion Notes: Amanda Seyfried, was dressed in a cap-sleeved mini, which featured a graphic print on one side, and solid plum on the other. At first glance it appeared that she mistakenly wore the dress the wrong way with a forward-facing zipper! But as the actress posed her way down the red carpet, it became clear that her back-to-front look was a very deliberate style statement. Amanda paired the dress with Miu Miu heels, tights and a clutch from Miu Miu, wearing her hair back in a French Braid.
About the film: Three women's lives share a common core - they have all been profoundly affected by adoption. KAREN (Annette Bening) had a baby at 14, gave her up at birth, and has been haunted ever since by the daughter she never knew. ELIZABETH (Naomi Watts) grew up as an adopted child; she's a bright and ambitious lawyer, but a flinty loner in her personal life. LUCY (Kerry Washington) is just embarking with her husband on the adoption odyssey, looking for a baby to become their own.
From writer-director Rodrigo Garcia (Nine Lives, Big Love, In Treatment, The Sopranos) and executive producer Alejandro González Iñárritu (Babel) comes the moving story of three women (Annette Bening, Naomi Watts and Kerry Washington) and the power of the unbreakable bond between mother and child. The film opens May 7, 2010.

Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth and the cast of Disney Pictures' "The
Last Song" reunited on the Red Carpet in Los Angeles, for the film's
World Premiere Thursday night, March 25, 2010.
The film, which
was shot in Savannah and Tybee Island, is Miley's first lead role in a
live-action film that doesn't include her musical alter-ego, Hannah
Montana.
The young lovers (a real life couple) were nearly
inseparable for the festivities at the film's debut, held at the
ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas. In fact, Miley opted out of posing solo for
the Red Carpet photographers, much to their dismay. Instead, the couple
made their way down the carpet "joined at the hip'.
The star of the wildly popular Disney show "Hanna Montana" had this to say recently about the end of the line for Hannah Montana. "It’s interesting to be doing press for this type of movie when, right now on the Disney Channel, is airing one of the last episodes of Season 3 and we’re finishing up Season 4. ... It’s interesting to be leaving my security blanket behind, but it’s also exciting to get involved more with this movie. It makes me want to just continue to work and do more films. The show needed a complete ending for Season 3, and our show deserves that, too. With it being such a huge, big deal in so many kids’ lives that they don’t want to see reruns forever. They want a really respectful ending. It really deserves that. It’s been such an amazing journey. It definitely had a beginning, and it needs an end."
About doing another Hanna Montana movie Miley is adamant. "No. The Hannah Montana wig is out, as soon as we finish that last episode. One will be in a museum and one will be burned, or something. I can’t put it on again. It’s just too much"
At the star studded premiere, others gracing the red carpet included John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, who also stars in the drama opening next weekend. They were joined by such celebs as Ariel Winter, Ashley Tisdale, Karina Smirnoff, Lily Collins, Melissa Ordway, Monique Coleman and others.
In The Last Song,
Cyrus stars as a teenager forced to spend the summer with her estranged
father, connecting through the only thing they have in common — music.
