By Joseph Martinez -

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches...their past

....and so the story goes. But a different story played out on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in front of the Chinese theater in Hollywood, welcoming the cast, crew and celebrity guests for the premiere of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Gemma Arterton, Jeremy Renner, Famke Janssen, and Zoe Bell donned glamorous attire for their walk on the red carpet. British actress Gemma Arterton picked the perfect gown. Her black Gucci gown, with its jeweled halter straps, draped bodice, and long, pleated skirt, fit her beautifully. And  her grecian-inspired, headband updo complemented her gorgeous gown. The film opened nationwide January 25, 2013.

Emma Stone attends 'Gangster Squad' Premiere

Published in Latest

By Joseph Martinez -

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone came together last night at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood for the World Premiere of their film "Gangster Squad". It's the second time the co-stars have played love interests on the big screen. They also appeared in 2011's "Crazy, Stupid, Love"

Stone, who plays a moll in the film, dazzled in a fiery red Lanvin woven silk dress complemented with a dramatic crystal necklace.

Ryan Gosling, wearing a brown, three-piece Gucci suit, brought a very special woman to the event, his Mom Donna. Gosling's girlfriend, actress Eva Mendes, did not attend the premiere, but her clothes did. "My mother's wearing all my girlfriend's clothes," Gosling told reporters, according to the New York Daily News. "I'm wearing Eva Mendes tonight" Donna Gosling added. "I raided her closet."

Strangely, the most daring bit of attire at the event came from Nick Nolte who was sporting, what looked like, a yellow bathrobe as he made his way down the press line.

Also on hand were Sean Penn, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Patrick and Josh Brolin, who also have roles in the film, due for release on Wednesday January 9, 2013. (photos © 2013 Joe Martinez/ Picturelux - All Rights Reserved.)

About the film:

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his thumb. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

By Joseph Martinez -

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet Monday night November 12, 2012 for the world premiere of the final "Twilight" film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Fueling speculation about their reconciliation, the pair were photographed by a select few photographers arm-in-arm. However, they did not walk down the red carpet together and the group photo of the three leads, that has normally been a staple for these events, was conspicuously absent.

Recently, in an interview on NBC's "Today" the 22-year-old actress and star of the blockbuster "Snow White and the Huntsman" said she would keep the fans guessing about whether or not they are "back together."

Kristen, who usually favors casual clothes and Converse sneakers wore a daringly risqué Zuhair Murad soft gold corseted gown, featuring a completely see-through skirt that showed off her matching gold underwear. If she was trying to divert attention from recent scandalous headlines, it was definitely a good effort.

Joining the duo for the final red carpet of the series were Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Dakota Fanning as well as what seemed like most of the cast. Celebrity guests included Stevie Nicks, Mayim Bialik, Ashley Tisdale, Bella Thorne, Saoirse Ronin and Julianne Hough among others. (photos © 2012 Joe Martinez / PictureLux)

“Breaking Dawn Part 2″ is the final installment in the “Twilight” film franchise and is directed by Bill Condon. In theaters this Friday.

By Joseph Martinez -

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored the legendary singer/songwriter Neil Diamond with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 10, 2012. “We finally were able to pin him down for a date to dedicate his star. This is one busy man and we are thrilled to honor this legendary performer,” stated Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.

Neil Diamond’s eclectic and universally beloved songs—as well as his charismatic and openhearted performances of them—continue to make him an international force both as a record maker and a live entertainer as he continuously sells out major arenas and venues around the world.  Diamond has a remarkable track record of 16 Top Ten albums and 37 Top Ten singles.  This Grammy-winning artist rock icon has been a Kennedy Center honoree, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and is a recipient of the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award. Among Diamond’s many other notable honors, he has received a Golden Globe Award, thirteen Grammy nominations and was named the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year.

On hand for the event that also commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the seminal album, "Hot August Night", was guest speaker Randy Newman and Diamond's third wife, Katie McNeil Diamond. (photo by © 2012 Joe Martinez/PictureLux)

Neil Diamond Trivia per IMDB.com:

  • Ran away from his home in Brooklyn at the age of 13 and went to the Midwest where he formed a musical group called The Roadrunners. They performed in coffeehouses for two years, after which Neil went home.
  • Seriously considered "Eyce Charry" and "Noah Kaminsky" for his professional name.
  • Screen-tested for the lead in the movie Lenny (1974), based on the life of famed comedian Lenny Bruce, but turned it down.
  • When he and Barbra Streisand had a smash hit in 1978 with "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", it was not the first time that the Brooklyn-born superstars had sung together. While students at New York City's Erasmus High School, they both sang in the school choir.
  • Penned hits for other pop groups before making it on his own, including The Monkees' "I'm a Believer.".
  • For his role in The Jazz Singer (1980), Diamond became the first ever "Winner" of a Worst Actor 'Razzie' Award.
  • Was forced to pay $150,000,000 to former wife Marcia Murphey in their divorce settlement. Is the most expensive divorce in history up to that date.
  • Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on March 14, 2011.
