Hollywood Boulevard rocked on Tuesday July 10, 2012 when former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (AKA Saul Hudson) was honored with the 2,473rd star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. It seems a fitting tribute for a musician who first won notoriety in the nightclubs along Los Angeles' Sunset Strip.
Slash told the crowd
of fans and well wishers, "I've been a part of the Hollywood fabric for a
long time and to actually be appreciated by the city of Hollywood is a
huge, huge honor," Slash said at the unveiling of his star. "And so I
want to thank everybody for this; it's unbelievable."
A notable
speaker, in the form of the winning Charlie Sheen, was present to convey
his admiration and to congratulate his neighbor and friend. The "Anger
Management" star and rabble-rouser couldn't resist taking a shot at
Slash's estranged former band mate, Axl Rose. "You know, it's quite
fitting, I think, that Slash is getting a star on the very street that
Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on," the actor quipped to fans
gathered in front of the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Boulevard.
Other
speakers on hand included veteran movie producer Robert Evans, whose
2002 documentary on his life in Tinseltown, "The Kid Stays in the
Picture", included a song by Slash.

The stars were out at Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre the other
night (Thursday, June 21, 2012) for the World Premiere of 'Ted'.
Mila Kunis, in a Christian Dior dress and Christian Louboutin's, joined Mark Wahlberg and the film's writer-director, Seth MacFarlane, on the red carpet. Fellow co-stars Seth McFarlane, Jessica Stroup, Giovanni Ribisi and Alex Borstein also posed for the media at the event.
The newly married Giovanni Ribisi showed up without his new bride, model Agyness Deyn. Rumors of the low-key wedding first hit the Internet when an employee of Crown City News spotted the pair in line at the Los Angeles County Registrar's office, "passionately kissing." The pair admitted they were getting married and said they had been dating "a while."
According to celebuzz.com, Wahlberg had only kind words for his co-star, 'Black Swan' actress Mila Kunis, 28. “She’s great, we were in it together,... We worked together before and she’s just very easy to get along with. She’s smart, witty, very quick, but also easy going which is a rare combination.”
The film spins a quirky tale of a man whose childhood wish, for his teddy bear to come to life, comes true. Wahlberg explained to the media on the Carpet why his potty-mouthed furry friend was still lovable - wild lifestyle and all. "Despite the fact that he's got the most foul mouth you've ever seen and he's a bad influence, he's also got a heart that's very sweet and very kind and very funny."
The R-rated comedy centers on a boy whose Christmas wish is fulfilled after his teddy bear comes to life. But that dream turns into a nightmare as they grow up. The stuffed bear is played by MacFarlane in a motion-capture suit. "Ted" hits theaters June 29, 2012.

Patricia Heaton, star of the popular
television comedies, "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The Middle", was
honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, May 22,
2012. Heaton was reunited with her TV husbands Ray Romano and Neil Flynn
for the event. Also attending were Doris Roberts, Brad Garrett and
Atticus Shaffer. Heaton won two "best actress" Emmy awards for her role
as Debra Barone on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
The actress was the
recipient of the 2,472nd star and her friends and family, including
actor husband David Hunt and their four sons, looked on proudly as she
accepted the honor. During her acceptance speech, the actress declared,
"I'm overwhelmed. I came to Hollywood 20 years ago at the age of 30. I
had no agent and no manager... God opened a door for me and by God I
mean Ray Romano."
Guest speaker Ray Romano said he first met
Patty when she auditioned for the role of his wife, Debra Barone. "Of
the hundreds of actresses that auditioned, she was the only one who
kissed me on the lips. . . and I thought to myself, this woman really
needs a job."
Switching gears to a more serious tone, Romano said
the show "really revolved around Patty," even though he played the
title character. "She not only grounded it, but she was funny. She made
me a better actor." He also saluted her dedication to family and to
family values. "The Hollywood Star Committee got it right today."
Her
second TV husband, Neil Flynn, joked that the list of actors Patty
wanted for "The Middle" included Randy Quaid, Dolph Lundgren, Abraham
Lincoln and Chewbacca. "My name was at the bottom of the list and I just
feel lucky to be on the list. I can’t imagine an actress who has her
level of success who is also so positive and grounded and grateful to be
where she is. I’m glad to be your friend." ( photos © 2012 Joe
