The actresses, who play the witches in the prequel to the 1939 classic film,  followed the yellow brick road and attended the LA launch for "Oz The Great and Powerful" at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

Rachel Weisz, who plays Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East, looked stunning in an orange Victoria Beckham gown. Mila Kunis, was beautiful in a cream lace Dolce & Gabbana prom dress and Christian Louboutin heels while Michelle Williams opted for a white Prada dress with
flower embroidery.

In addition to the female leads, James Franco, the star of the movie in the title role, also walked the carpet after filming a promo on a full size hot air balloon, hovering over Hollywood Boulevard. It was quite the spectacle and a bit surreal as the fans, lining the street, cheered with each blast of the hot air burner.

Also on hand for the event was the Director Sam Raimi and celebrity guests including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sarah Chalke and Tobey Maguire. (photos © 2013 Picturelux - All Rights Reserved.

About the film:

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.

The film is set for release on March 8, 2013.

By Joseph Martinez -

After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches...their past

....and so the story goes. But a different story played out on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in front of the Chinese theater in Hollywood, welcoming the cast, crew and celebrity guests for the premiere of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Gemma Arterton, Jeremy Renner, Famke Janssen, and Zoe Bell donned glamorous attire for their walk on the red carpet. British actress Gemma Arterton picked the perfect gown. Her black Gucci gown, with its jeweled halter straps, draped bodice, and long, pleated skirt, fit her beautifully. And  her grecian-inspired, headband updo complemented her gorgeous gown. Emma Stone attends 'Gangster Squad' Premiere

By Joseph Martinez -

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone came together last night at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood for the World Premiere of their film "Gangster Squad". It's the second time the co-stars have played love interests on the big screen. They also appeared in 2011's "Crazy, Stupid, Love"

Stone, who plays a moll in the film, dazzled in a fiery red Lanvin woven silk dress complemented with a dramatic crystal necklace.

Ryan Gosling, wearing a brown, three-piece Gucci suit, brought a very special woman to the event, his Mom Donna. Gosling's girlfriend, actress Eva Mendes, did not attend the premiere, but her clothes did. "My mother's wearing all my girlfriend's clothes," Gosling told reporters, according to the New York Daily News. "I'm wearing Eva Mendes tonight" Donna Gosling added. "I raided her closet."

Strangely, the most daring bit of attire at the event came from Nick Nolte who was sporting, what looked like, a yellow bathrobe as he made his way down the press line.

Also on hand were Sean Penn, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Patrick and Josh Brolin, who also have roles in the film, due for release on Wednesday January 9, 2013. (photos © 2013 Joe Martinez/ Picturelux - All Rights Reserved.)

About the film:

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his thumb. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet Monday night November 12, 2012 for the world premiere of the final "Twilight" film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Fueling speculation about their reconciliation, the pair were photographed by a select few photographers arm-in-arm. However, they did not walk down the red carpet together and the group photo of the three leads, that has normally been a staple for these events, was conspicuously absent.

Recently, in an interview on NBC's "Today" the 22-year-old actress and star of the blockbuster "Snow White and the Huntsman" said she would keep the fans guessing about whether or not they are "back together."

Kristen, who usually favors casual clothes and Converse sneakers wore a daringly risqué Zuhair Murad soft gold corseted gown, featuring a completely see-through skirt that showed off her matching gold underwear. If she was trying to divert attention from recent scandalous headlines, it was definitely a good effort.

Joining the duo for the final red carpet of the series were Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Dakota Fanning as well as what seemed like most of the cast. Celebrity guests included Stevie Nicks, Mayim Bialik, Ashley Tisdale, Bella Thorne, Saoirse Ronin and Julianne Hough among others. (photos © 2012 Joe Martinez / PictureLux)

“Breaking Dawn Part 2″ is the final installment in the “Twilight” film franchise and is directed by Bill Condon. In theaters this Friday.

  • When he and Barbra Streisand had a smash hit in 1978 with "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", it was not the first time that the Brooklyn-born superstars had sung together. While students at New York City's Erasmus High School, they both sang in the school choir.

Charlie Sheen attends Slash's Star Ceremony

PictureLux photo SlashBy Joseph Martinez -

Hollywood Boulevard rocked on Tuesday July 10, 2012 when former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (AKA Saul Hudson) was honored with the 2,473rd star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. It seems a fitting tribute for a musician who first won notoriety in the nightclubs along Los Angeles' Sunset Strip.

Slash told the crowd of fans and well wishers, "I've been a part of the Hollywood fabric for a long time and to actually be appreciated by the city of Hollywood is a huge, huge honor," Slash said at the unveiling of his star. "And so I want to thank everybody for this; it's unbelievable."

A notable speaker, in the form of the winning Charlie Sheen, was present to convey his admiration and to congratulate his neighbor and friend. The "Anger Management" star and rabble-rouser couldn't resist taking a shot at Slash's estranged former band mate, Axl Rose. "You know, it's quite fitting, I think, that Slash is getting a star on the very street that Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on," the actor quipped to fans gathered in front of the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Boulevard.

Other speakers on hand included veteran movie producer Robert Evans, whose 2002 documentary on his life in Tinseltown, "The Kid Stays in the Picture", included a song by Slash.

The 46-year-old Slash, attended the induction ceremony with his wife and two kids. Afterward, he performed an acoustic set for those in attendance at the Hard Rock Cafe. (photo by © 2012 Joe Martinez/PictureLux)

Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg & Newlywed Giovanni Ribisi at 'Ted' premiere

Written by Joseph Martinez
Published in Latest

PictureLux photo Mila Kunis

By Joseph Martinez -

The stars were out at Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre the other night (Thursday, June 21, 2012) for the World Premiere of 'Ted'.

Mila Kunis, in a Christian Dior dress and Christian Louboutin's, joined Mark Wahlberg and the film's writer-director, Seth MacFarlane, on the red carpet. Fellow co-stars Seth McFarlane, Jessica Stroup, Giovanni Ribisi and Alex Borstein also posed for the media at the event.

The newly married Giovanni Ribisi showed up without his new bride, model Agyness Deyn. Rumors of the low-key wedding first hit the Internet when an employee of Crown City News spotted the pair in line at the Los Angeles County Registrar's office, "passionately kissing." The pair admitted they were getting married and said they had been dating "a while."

According to celebuzz.com, Wahlberg had only kind words for his co-star, 'Black Swan' actress Mila Kunis, 28. “She’s great, we were in it together,... We worked together before and she’s just very easy to get along with. She’s smart, witty, very quick, but also easy going which is a rare combination.”

The film spins a quirky tale of a man whose childhood wish, for his teddy bear to come to life, comes true. Wahlberg explained to the media on the Carpet why his potty-mouthed furry friend was still lovable -  wild lifestyle and all. "Despite the fact that he's got the most foul mouth you've ever seen and he's a bad influence, he's also got a heart that's very sweet and very kind and very funny."

The R-rated comedy centers on a boy whose Christmas wish is fulfilled after his teddy bear comes to life. But that dream turns into a nightmare as they grow up. The stuffed bear is played by MacFarlane in a motion-capture suit. "Ted" hits theaters June 29, 2012.

Heaton was reunited with her TV husbands Ray Romano and Neil Flynn for the event. Also attending were Doris Roberts, Brad Garrett and Atticus Shaffer. Heaton won two "best actress" Emmy awards for her role as Debra Barone on "Everybody Loves Raymond."

The actress was the recipient of the 2,472nd star and her friends and family, including actor husband David Hunt and their four sons, looked on proudly as she accepted the honor. During her acceptance speech, the actress declared, "I'm overwhelmed. I came to Hollywood 20 years ago at the age of 30. I had no agent and no manager... God opened a door for me and by God I mean Ray Romano."

She made me a better actor." He also saluted her dedication to family and to family values. "The Hollywood Star Committee got it right today."

Her second TV husband, Neil Flynn, joked that the list of actors Patty wanted for "The Middle" included Randy Quaid, Dolph Lundgren, Abraham Lincoln and Chewbacca. "My name was at the bottom of the list and I just feel lucky to be on the list. I can’t imagine an actress who has her level of success who is also so positive and grounded and grateful to be where she is. I’m glad to be your friend."  ( photos © 2012 Joe Martinez / PictureLux )
