PictureLux on the red carpet report: "How to Train Your Dragon" premiere

The premiere of Dreamworks' feature film “How to Train Your Dragon” was held on Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City in Los Angeles, CA. The voice cast for the animated feature including Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Craig Ferguson and Jonah Hill brightened the red carpet as did a 1,200-pound, 6-foot-tall faux dragon, which was a mini amusement park in itself to the delight of both guests and onlookers alike.

Celebrities such as Tori Spelling, Wayne Brady , Lea Thompson and Kim Raver brought their families along to enjoy the film. Others in attendance included Terri Seymour, Arsenio Hall and Fred Willard to name a few.

About the film: Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and based on the book by Cressida Cowell, the action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.The film is rated PG and opens this Friday.
