If there's one thing that Hollywood seems
to love, it's a good ol' romantic comedy about a wedding. That was the
topic of the evening as pregnant actress Kate Hudson premiered her
latest film, 'Something Borrowed' at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in
Hollywood on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
Hudson, who is expecting her
first child with Muse rocker Matt Bellamy, looked radiant as she posed
for photographs, in a gown that accentuated her very obvious baby bump.
The 32-year old actress accessorized with a gold clutch bag from
Ferragamo, stud earrings and the huge diamond engagement ring she
recently showed off during an appearance on 'The Today Show.'
Also
in attendance at the premiere were Ginnifer Goodwin, Hilary Swank, John
Krasinski, Mayim Bialik, Natasha Beddingfield Kristin Cavallari and
British actor Colin Egglesfield - who plays Kate's fiance in the film
which opens Friday.
At an earlier press day for the film, the
Oscar-nominated actress mused on what having another child would do to
her career choices.
"I think now what's happening to me is that
I'm shifting," Hudson, who also has a seven-year-old son from her first
marriage, explained. "There are always different times and shifts in
your life, especially when you have kids. Now I'm going to have two
kids. Meaning that making 'Something Borrowed' was probably the last
time that I would be able to do something on a whim, to just pack up and
go away. The kids are the priority." (photo by © 2011 Joe Martinez / PictureLux)
About the film:
Rachel
(Ginnifer Goodwin) is a talented attorney at a top New York law firm, a
generous and loyal friend, and, unhappily, still single—as her engaged
best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson) is constantly reminding her. But after
celebrating her 30th birthday, perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly
ends up in the arms of the guy she's had a crush on since law school,
Dex (Colin Egglesfield)... who just happens to be Darcy's fiancé.
