Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth and the cast of Disney Pictures' "The
Last Song" reunited on the Red Carpet in Los Angeles, for the film's
World Premiere Thursday night, March 25, 2010.
The film, which
was shot in Savannah and Tybee Island, is Miley's first lead role in a
live-action film that doesn't include her musical alter-ego, Hannah
Montana.
The young lovers (a real life couple) were nearly
inseparable for the festivities at the film's debut, held at the
ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas. In fact, Miley opted out of posing solo for
the Red Carpet photographers, much to their dismay. Instead, the couple
made their way down the carpet "joined at the hip'.
The star of the wildly popular Disney show "Hanna Montana" had this to say recently about the end of the line for Hannah Montana. "It’s interesting to be doing press for this type of movie when, right now on the Disney Channel, is airing one of the last episodes of Season 3 and we’re finishing up Season 4. ... It’s interesting to be leaving my security blanket behind, but it’s also exciting to get involved more with this movie. It makes me want to just continue to work and do more films. The show needed a complete ending for Season 3, and our show deserves that, too. With it being such a huge, big deal in so many kids’ lives that they don’t want to see reruns forever. They want a really respectful ending. It really deserves that. It’s been such an amazing journey. It definitely had a beginning, and it needs an end."
About doing another Hanna Montana movie Miley is adamant. "No. The Hannah Montana wig is out, as soon as we finish that last episode. One will be in a museum and one will be burned, or something. I can’t put it on again. It’s just too much"
At the star studded premiere, others gracing the red carpet included John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, who also stars in the drama opening next weekend. They were joined by such celebs as Ariel Winter, Ashley Tisdale, Karina Smirnoff, Lily Collins, Melissa Ordway, Monique Coleman and others.
In The Last Song,
Cyrus stars as a teenager forced to spend the summer with her estranged
father, connecting through the only thing they have in common — music.

The premiere of Dreamworks' feature film “How to Train Your Dragon” was held on Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City in Los Angeles, CA. The voice cast for the animated feature including Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Craig Ferguson and Jonah Hill brightened the red carpet as did a 1,200-pound, 6-foot-tall faux dragon, which was a mini amusement park in itself to the delight of both guests and onlookers alike.
Celebrities such as Tori Spelling, Wayne Brady , Lea Thompson and Kim Raver brought their families along to enjoy the film. Others in attendance included Terri Seymour, Arsenio Hall and Fred Willard to name a few.
About the
film: Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and
based on the book by Cressida Cowell, the action comedy tells the story
of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s
longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is
turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and
his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of
view. The film is rated PG and opens this Friday. (Photo © 2010 Joe Martinez/PictureLux)

Andy Garcia and co-star Julianna Margulies were on hand at the Landmark Theater in Los Angeles, Ca on Monday, March 15, 2010 for the LA Premiere of 'City Island'
Andy Garcia was positively beaming as the proud dad at the premiere since he stars alongside daughter Dominik Garcia-Lorido in the film and willingly posed alongside her for photos on the red carpet. When asked about his kids getting into acting Andy replied " “I encourage them to pursue the dream, as long as it’s their dream.” Daniella and Alessandra both appeared with him in 2005 in "The Lost City", and Andres enjoys performing “almost as much as he loves video games and basketball,”
Also in attendance were Co-star Steven Strait, Brandon Barash and George Lopez among others.
About
the film: When prison guard and aspiring actor, Vince Rizzo (Andy
Garcia) is asked to reveal his biggest secret during his drama class, he
inadvertently sets off a chain of events that turns his mundane
suburban life into total chaos. Vince takes great pains covering up his
half-truths from his family, but soon it becomes clear that everyone—his
hot-tempered wife (Julianna Margulies), college student daughter
(Dominik Garcia-Lorido), long-lost ex-con son (Steven Strait),
charismatic acting partner (Emily Mortimer) and even his drama coach
(Alan Arkin)—all have secrets of their own. Everyone’s furtive
deceptions collide with hilarious results. Set on City Island, a quaint
fishing community on the outskirts of the Bronx, this smart and charming
comedy explores the absurd secrets and vices people choose to keep from
their loved ones…and the realization that the truth is easier to cope
with than well-intentioned white lies.
City Island is a funny
and touching family tale about the secrets of the past catching up with
the lies of the present, and accepting that nobody’s perfect – least of
all your loved ones. (photo © 2010 Joe Martinez/PictureLux)

As is tradition, immediately following dinner, auctioneer Jamie Niven of Sotheby's led the evening's live auction.
Unlike the other parties around town after the Oscars, Sir Elton’s party is a fundraiser meant to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation which, in turn, funds other needy AIDS research programs. According to Rogers and Cowan, the evening was great success and managed to raise $3.7 Million for the Foundation
The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) was established in the United States in 1992 by Sir Elton John. EJAF's U.S. office is located in New York City. In 1993, Sir Elton also established the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF-UK) in the United Kingdom, headquartered in London. These two organizations function as separate entities with their own distinct grant- making portfolios, but both pursue similar missions - to support innovative HIV prevention
programs, efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and direct care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Collectively, the two organizations have raised over $150 million since inception in support of projects in 55 countries around the world, including significant funding dedicated to programs in their respective home countries.
